During the last 18 years, Andre has worked at various clubs around the metro DC area and is very thankful to be able to bring his experiences with teaching and playing to Arlington Forest Club. These experiences gave Andre the knowledge and solid understanding of the game to develop players of all ages and abilities - from high performance juniors to adults or children who have never picked up a racquet and everyone in between.

Aaron is a USPTR certified tennis professional with over 15 years of tennis teaching experience. He started his teaching career at Center Court Racket Club in Newport News, Virginia. While pursuing a degree from the University of Virginia, he worked as a teaching pro for the Snyder Tennis Center at UVA and was the head tennis instructor at the Warwick Yacht Club and Ford‘s Colony Tennis & Swim Club. He has experience working with players of all levels and ages from beginners to collegiate athletes. Prior to attending law school, Aaron competed in Men’s Open Division tennis tournaments in Virginia with an emphasis on doubles. While not on the tennis court, Aaron works full-time as a trial lawyer in the D.C. Metropolitan area.

Adult Clinics – Tennis isn’t just for kids

Adult tennis clinics start the first week in week in April and extend into November.

Adult Tennis Clinics are divided into three separate tracks:

Track 1: Drills
Focused on tennis skill fundamentals

Track 2: Cardio
Focused on getting in good tennis shape

Track 3: Match Play
Focused on preparation for competitive match play

NOTE: The Adult clinics are completely separate from the AFC Adult Teams and practice schedule.

Juniors Clinics

The Arlington Forest Club has a growing junior tennis program and we welcome kids of all ages and abilities!

Clinics Overview

  • Open to all ages (5+) and abilities, no experience required
  • Spring sessions are 1-2x week for 4 weeks, 1 hour class
  • Summer sessions are 1 hour class 4x week (M/T/Th/Fri); purchase by the week or for multiple weeks 
  • Clinics are separate from the junior tennis team.

For the true beginner to tennis. Motor skills and hand eye coordination are the primary focus by going over the basic of catching, trapping and rolling. This class is designed to create enthusiasm for tennis, and to improve hand-eye coordination. Games along with drills and various teaching aids make for a wonderful learning environment with fun and movement your child will love it! Parent-child class is welcome to attend and assist chance to interact with your child.
At this stage we will be going over the basic of catching, hitting and throwing skills. We are going to introduce games in such a way to include motor skills with balancing, agility, coordination, throwing /catching, racquet/hitting. This includes forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads, serves and scoring. This class emphasizes the basics. Students learn basic stroke techniques, scorekeeping, rallying, and proper movement. Game-based learning and fun is a big part of this class.This class strives to continue on improving fundamentals for the player with a basic understanding of stroke mechanics. This player is beginning to move the ball and contact has improved. Stroke mechanics on the back-hand, forehand, and serve will be reinforced. Age appropriate equipment will be used. Stroke mechanics are emphasized and rallying consistency is improved. Juniors in this program will experience proper stroking reinforcement, game based drills and lots of fun and encouragement.This class welcomes older beginners, but is also designed for the player aspiring to play tournaments and/or play on their high school tennis teams as well for those who desiring to keep his/her game tuned up in the off season. Drills will be designed around stroke execution along with improvement of the serve. Point play is also a regular training component. This is a live-ball class. Juniors can expect many drills designed to teach effective playing and further develop their fundamentals.

Clinic Registration

Registration and payment for the clinics must be handled through City Tennis Academy.
